# How the partner program works

The partner program in plain terms: how your tracked link credits referrals to you, how long that credit lasts, and how your share is calculated and paid.

## The idea

You introduce your audience to BePrepared. When someone you send becomes a customer, a share of the revenue they generate is yours. This page explains exactly how that connection is made, how long it lasts, and how the money is worked out.

## Your tracked link

Your link is bepreparedsolutions.co/partner/your-name. It is not a redirect: it opens a branded arrival page with your name and content on it, so a visitor knows they came from you before they explore the site.

Following the link places a referral marker in the visitor's browser. That marker is what connects a later signup back to you.

## What counts as a referral

-   **Clicks have a 90-day window.** Someone who follows your link and creates an account is credited to you, even if they sign up days or weeks later, for up to 90 days after the click.
-   **First touch wins.** If a visitor was already credited to another partner, that earlier credit stays in place. The first link someone follows decides the attribution.
-   **Credit lasts for the life of the account.** Every renewal your referral pays keeps earning for you, not just their first payment.
-   **Forgot the link? There is a code.** If you have a spoken code, listeners can enter it at signup. If they forget, they can add it from their account settings within the claim window shown on your Promote page.

## How your share is calculated

Your share is a percentage of revenue we actually receive from your referrals, after taxes and payment processing fees are taken out. If a customer is refunded, the matching share is reversed on your ledger. Your specific rate is in your partner agreement.

## When you get paid

Earnings are grouped into monthly statements by calendar month, US Eastern time. Once a month closes and its statement is sent, that statement is final and payment is due within 30 days of month end. If your agreement included an advance, earnings apply against the advance first, then cash payments begin. Your dashboard shows exactly where you stand.
