Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: October 11, 2026

Our commitment

Preparedness information has to work for everyone in a household, including people who use a screen reader, keyboard navigation, magnification or captions. We want every public page and every part of your account to be usable that way.

Our target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. That is a goal, not a claim: we have not had an independent accessibility audit, so we do not state that the site conforms.

How we check it

  • Pages are built with semantic HTML: headings in order, labelled navigation, and form fields with labels.
  • Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
  • We check new pages with automated tools such as Lighthouse and fix what they find.

Automated tools catch only part of the problems. Some pages may still have barriers we have not found yet, and your report is the fastest way for us to learn about them.

Report a barrier

If something on the site is hard or impossible for you to use, tell us the page and what happened. We respond within one business day, and if we cannot fix it quickly we will get you the information another way.
