Brian Burk
Co-Founder
Both sets of my grandparents were farmers. I grew up hunting, butchering, and preserving food — then coming back to suburban life during the week. That hybrid upbringing gave me something most people never get: a real understanding of self-reliance before it became a topic.
Today I grow and preserve my own food, hold a licensed HAM radio operator certification, and carry two sixth-degree black belts. I do my own home repairs and renovations. I also have an Ivy League MBA — so I think as much about systems and strategy as I do about skills and supplies.
Preparedness, done right, is both.
Tiran Dagan
Co-Founder
I've spent my career helping global organizations figure out what they need before they need it — across media, telecom, healthcare, and tech. I also teach graduate students how to build with AI. But what matters here is that I live this.
My home has systems I built myself: a food rotation so nothing expires forgotten, emergency medical supplies for when care is limited, and emergency radios Brian and I designed and built from scratch. I'm a woodworker and fabricator. I believe knowing how to make and fix things with your hands is foundational to real self-sufficiency.
Brian brings the fieldcraft. I bring the systems thinking. Together, we help families stop hoping they're ready — and start knowing they are.
